About Satirical Coffee
Hi, I’m Chris, the founder of Satirical Coffee.
A serious accident last year changed my daily life and interrupted my usual work. During recovery, I had time to think about what I wanted to do next. I decided to build something I could enjoy and care about.
Coffee became part of that discovery. I’d always known it mostly as something to drink. Then I started experimenting, trying different coffees and learning how preparation changes what ends up in your cup. Something familiar became something I looked forward to exploring.
Before long, I was building a world around it. Characters, humor, stories and the beginnings of a coffee business that reflected what mattered to me.
Getting Satirical Coffee to this point has taken nine months of building it myself, one piece at a time.
Good coffee. A little humor. Room for everyone.
You don’t need an expensive setup or a vocabulary full of tasting notes to enjoy discovering coffee. You can start with your usual coffee maker, a little curiosity and something new to try.
The more I explored coffee, the more I appreciated what happens around it. You make someone a cup. You sit down. A conversation starts. There’s room to laugh, learn something and connect.
I wanted to build a specialty coffee business with some heart behind it. A place where kindness, curiosity and humor belong, and where you don’t have to be a coffee expert to feel welcome.
I also know what it feels like to be treated as another person to sell something to. Sometimes shopping online feels like being followed around by a very persistent salesperson. I’d rather give you something worth stopping for.
Yes, this is a coffee business, and I hope you find a coffee you love. But you’re welcome to explore, learn and enjoy yourself without buying anything. When you do choose a bag, I want you to understand what you’re getting and feel comfortable with your choice.
A real person behind some questionable characters
I drink Satirical Coffee every day, and I’ve tried several of the roasts myself, brewing with methods including a Chemex and a one touch espresso machine. I enjoy experimenting and discovering how the same coffee can taste different depending on how you prepare it. That’s part of the experience I want to share with you.
I choose what the shop offers and shape the stories, humor and experience. A coffee roasting and fulfillment partner prepares and ships your coffee directly to you.
I use AI tools to help create the artwork, fictional characters and Beanify portraits. Behind those creations is a real person making decisions and caring about your experience.
The beans have opinions. They don’t run customer service.
And this is just the beginning. My plans include a world of stories and animated shorts, with characters who take themselves far too seriously. Those shorts are still ahead, and building that world will take time. I hope you’ll find reasons to return for the coffee, the laughter and whatever happens next.
Why it matters to me
I want people to care about each other. To make room for a conversation, share something they enjoy and remember that kindness still matters.
I can’t fix the world with a bag of coffee. But I can start with a cup, a conversation and how I treat the next person.
Coffee is the invitation. People are the mission.
