Bold enough to make decisions. Clever enough to deny them later.
A bold medium-dark roast with deeper body and dark chocolate character.
For long nights, difficult mornings, and questionable confidence.
Is it the strongest coffee we sell? We can neither confirm nor deny anything. Everyone who asked was thanked for their interest and has not been heard from since. (Roast level changes flavor, not strength. How strong a cup is depends mostly on how much coffee goes in it.)
Available in Whole Bean or Drip Ground, in 12 oz, 1 lb, and 2 lb sizes.
A medium dark Honduras coffee with apple, dark chocolate and nut notes. For a richer roast character with more to discover than just “strong.”
About $1.53 per brew (one-time price; 20 g coffee; 320 g water)

Piper’s Field Notes
Plausible Deniability’s Honduras coffee is washed and sun dried. The supplier’s regional story describes highland coffee growers working through cooperative support and shared facilities. Apple, dark chocolate and nuts are flavor impressions, not added flavoring. The coffee has a paper trail. Your missing office mug remains under investigation.
Dr. Roast’s Brew Lab
Try drip first for the apple, dark chocolate and nut impressions. A French press gives you a fuller texture to compare because its metal filter allows more oils and fine particles into the cup. Choose the Whole Bean option and grind it coarse for the press. Keep your coffee dose consistent, then decide whether you prefer it plain or with milk. Your preferred brewing method does not need an alibi.

Meet the simple brewers
Drip: Water passes through grounds and a filter. Your existing machine is a useful place to start.
French press: Grounds steep in water, then a metal filter separates them. More oils and fine particles remain, giving a fuller texture. Use a coarse grind.
Chemex: A manual pour over brewer with a paper filter that catches oils and fine particles. Try it if you enjoy a clearer texture. Use a medium coarse grind.
AeroPress: A small manual brewer where coffee steeps before gentle pressing through a filter. Follow the recipe for your model. It is different from an espresso machine.
A scale and timer: Measuring coffee and water by weight, and keeping track of time, helps you repeat a cup you enjoyed. Change one thing at a time. A better routine can come before another purchase.
Count the Beans
Compare the size you will actually use. Larger bags improve value per brew only when their price per gram is lower. Keep your brewing dose consistent for a fair comparison.
Standard shipping is included within all 50 U.S. states. Taxes are calculated at checkout.
Example: 20 g coffee with 320 g water per brew. Estimated cost is the bag price divided by its net coffee weight, multiplied by 20 g. Your mug size and recipe change the yield; this is not a guaranteed cup count. Milk and other additions are separate.
| Bag size | Bag | Per brew |
|---|---|---|
| 12 oz | $25.99 | $1.53 |
| 1 lb | $33.99 | $1.50 |
