Try something new
Two easy serving ideas, with no espresso machine needed:
A caramel coffee float
Let a small cup of brewed coffee cool, then pour it over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Add the coffee slowly and enjoy it with a spoon.
A cinnamon milk cup
Whisk a little warm milk until frothy, pour it over your brewed coffee, and finish with a light sprinkle of cinnamon. Sweeten to taste.
These are optional serving ideas. Make them your own.
Caramel flavored coffee for a dessert inspired break. Try it as brewed first, then make the milk and sweetener decisions your own.
About $1.53 per brew (one-time price; 20 g coffee; 320 g water)

Piper’s Field Notes
Caramel is the flavor, rather than a growing region. This is intentionally flavored coffee, which differs from an unflavored coffee with caramel tasting notes. Tasting notes describe impressions noticed in the cup; flavoring is added to create an intended flavor. Your mug gets the caramel theme without wrestling a sticky wrapper.
Dr. Roast’s Brew Lab
Start with your drip machine and taste before adding syrup. For a fuller texture with this caramel flavored coffee, try a French press with whole bean ground coarse. Its metal filter leaves more oils and fine particles in the cup. A paper filter brewer gives a cleaner texture to compare. Try a splash of milk if you like, changing one thing at a time. The caramel sauce can wait until it is invited.

Meet the simple brewers
Drip: Water passes through grounds and a filter. Your existing machine is a useful place to start.
French press: Grounds steep in water, then a metal filter separates them. More oils and fine particles remain, giving a fuller texture. Use a coarse grind.
Chemex: A manual pour over brewer with a paper filter that catches oils and fine particles. Try it if you enjoy a clearer texture. Use a medium coarse grind.
AeroPress: A small manual brewer where coffee steeps before gentle pressing through a filter. Follow the recipe for your model. It is different from an espresso machine.
A scale and timer: Measuring coffee and water by weight, and keeping track of time, helps you repeat a cup you enjoyed. Change one thing at a time. A better routine can come before another purchase.
Count the Beans
Compare the bag sizes below using the same brewing dose. The estimate covers the coffee itself; milk and other additions are separate. Pick the amount you will use while it is fresh. A larger bag should suit your routine, not require a new morning committee.
Standard shipping is included within all 50 U.S. states. Taxes are calculated at checkout.
Example: 20 g coffee with 320 g water per brew. Estimated cost is the bag price divided by its net coffee weight, multiplied by 20 g. Your mug size and recipe change the yield; this is not a guaranteed cup count. Milk and other additions are separate.
